USCCA Basic Handgun Course
The USCCA Basic Handgun course builds confident, safe shooters from the ground up. The first three hours cover classroom instruction on firearm mechanics, safe handling, and the defensive mindset. The final hour is spent on the range with a certified instructor coaching you through live-fire drills focused on grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control.
$149

Prerequisites
- 18 years of age or older
- No experience necessary — beginners welcome
- Handgun and 100 rounds of ammunition (rentals available)
- Eye and ear protection
What you'll learn
- Firearm types, parts, and safe handling rules
- Ammunition selection and malfunctions
- Grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control
- Cleaning, maintenance, and safe storage
- Defensive mindset and situational awareness
- 1 hour of supervised range time
- Live-fire skill drills: static shooting, reloads, and malfunction clearing
