Training Policies

Registration is not confirmed until payment has been successfully completed.

• Class availability is limited and enrollment is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Texas Protection Force reserves the right to close registration once a class reaches capacity.
• Students are responsible for providing accurate contact and participant information during registration. For certification courses, the student’s information must be entered accurately to ensure proper issuance of certificates and training records.
• Prices, course dates, locations, and availability are subject to change prior to registration.

• Students may cancel their registration and receive a full refund when cancellation is requested at least 7 calendar days before the scheduled class date.
• Cancellations made less than 7 calendar days before the scheduled class are non-refundable. However, the student may request a one-time transfer to another available Texas Protection Force class of the same course type, subject to availability.
• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled class start time and no-shows are non-refundable and are not eligible for transfer or class credit.
• Any third-party fees already incurred specifically on behalf of a student may be deducted from an otherwise eligible refund when those fees are non-refundable to Texas Protection Force.

• Eligible registrations may be transferred to another available class date one time.
• After a registration has been transferred once, additional rescheduling requests may require a new registration and payment.
• Requests to transfer a registration to another individual must be made before the scheduled class and are subject to approval. Certain certification, licensing, or regulatory programs may restrict participant substitutions.
• Registration transfers have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for another service unless approved by Texas Protection Force.

• A student who fails to attend a scheduled class without providing the required advance notice will be considered a no-show.
• No-shows are not eligible for refunds, transfers, credits, or complimentary enrollment in another class.
• A new registration and payment will be required to attend a future class.

• Students are expected to arrive on time and be prepared to begin training at the scheduled start time.
• Many certification and licensing courses require completion of specific instructional content, skills evaluations, testing, or minimum training requirements.
• Students who arrive late may be denied admission if the instructor determines that the missed material cannot reasonably be made up while maintaining course or regulatory requirements.
• Students denied admission because of late arrival will generally be treated as a no-show and may be required to register and pay for another class.
• Students are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled class start time.

Texas Protection Force reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, or reschedule a class because of instructor availability, severe weather, facility issues, insufficient enrollment, safety concerns, emergencies, or other circumstances affecting the ability to conduct the course properly.

If Texas Protection Force cancels a class, registered students will be offered the choice of:

• A full refund, or
• Transfer of their registration to another available class date.

If a class location or date must be changed, Texas Protection Force will make reasonable efforts to notify registered students using the contact information provided during registration.

Texas Protection Force is not responsible for incidental expenses associated with a class cancellation or rescheduling, including transportation, lodging, lost wages, childcare, or other personal expenses.

• Certain courses may require a minimum number of registered students.
• Texas Protection Force reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a class that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements.
• Whenever reasonably possible, students will be notified of an enrollment-related cancellation or rescheduling in advance and will be given the option of transferring to another class or receiving a full refund.

Registration and attendance do not guarantee successful course completion or certification.

Students must successfully satisfy all requirements applicable to their course. Depending on the program, these requirements may include attendance, participation, written examinations, practical skills evaluations, firearms proficiency, safety requirements, or other standards established by Texas Protection Force or the applicable certifying or regulatory organization.

• Certificates will only be issued to students who successfully complete all applicable course requirements.
• Texas Protection Force cannot issue, alter, or guarantee licenses, registrations, commissions, certifications, or government approvals that are ultimately issued or controlled by a third party or government agency.

• Students enrolled in American Red Cross courses must successfully complete all required course components and skills evaluations before certification can be issued.
• Student information provided during registration may be used to create required training records and issue American Red Cross certification.
• American Red Cross certification eligibility and issuance remain subject to applicable American Red Cross program requirements.
• Students should ensure that their legal name and email address are entered accurately during registration.

• Texas security training courses offered by Texas Protection Force are conducted in accordance with applicable Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Program requirements.
• Completion of a Texas Protection Force training course does not by itself guarantee issuance of a Texas private security registration, commission, or license.
• Students remain responsible for satisfying applicable Texas DPS eligibility, application, employment, background, fingerprinting, fee, and licensing requirements.
• Texas Protection Force does not guarantee employment upon completion of a security training course unless expressly stated in a separate written employment offer.

• Students participating in any firearms-related course must comply with all instructor instructions, range rules, and safety requirements.
• Unsafe conduct will not be tolerated.
• Texas Protection Force and/or the instructor may immediately remove a student from firearms training when the student’s conduct creates a safety risk to themselves or others.
• Students may be required to provide their own firearm, ammunition, eye protection, hearing protection, or other equipment when specified in the individual course description.
• Students are responsible for ensuring that personally owned firearms and equipment are safe, functional, lawful to possess, and appropriate for the course.
• Any student who arrives under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any substance that materially impairs safe participation will not be permitted to participate.
• Removal from a course because of unsafe, reckless, threatening, or prohibited conduct does not entitle the student to a refund.

• Students may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification before participating in certain courses.
• Students are responsible for reviewing and satisfying any prerequisites or eligibility requirements listed for their selected course.
• Texas Protection Force reserves the right to deny participation when required documentation, identification, prerequisites, or equipment are not provided.

• Texas Protection Force maintains a professional learning environment.
• Students are expected to treat instructors, staff, facility personnel, and other students respectfully.
• Disruptive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, unsafe, or otherwise inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the course.
• Students removed for misconduct are not entitled to a refund or transfer.

Students are responsible for their own personal property and equipment while attending training. Texas Protection Force is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged personal belongings except to the extent required by applicable law.

Texas Protection Force may photograph or record portions of training classes for legitimate business, educational, or promotional purposes where permitted.

Students who do not wish to appear in promotional photographs or video should notify the instructor or staff before the beginning of class. Texas Protection Force will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests.

Students who require a reasonable accommodation should contact Texas Protection Force as early as possible before the scheduled class. Texas Protection Force will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests when possible while maintaining applicable safety, certification, licensing, and course requirements.

Classes will normally proceed as scheduled unless conditions make travel or training unsafe or the training facility becomes unavailable.

If severe weather or another emergency requires cancellation or rescheduling, Texas Protection Force will notify registered students as soon as reasonably possible using the contact information provided during registration.

Some courses may involve certification fees, range fees, ammunition, equipment, background-related expenses, or other third-party costs.

• When Texas Protection Force has already incurred a non-refundable third-party expense specifically for a registered student, that amount may be non-refundable even when another portion of the registration qualifies for a refund.
• Any course-specific fees or requirements will be disclosed when applicable.

Texas Protection Force reserves the right to update these Training Policies as its programs, regulatory requirements, certification standards, or business operations change.

The policies applicable to a registration will generally be those in effect at the time of registration, except where a change is necessary to comply with law, regulation, safety requirements, or requirements imposed by a certifying organization.
